About Me
I’m passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges with compassion, understanding, and evidence-based care. I have extensive experience supporting individuals with anxiety, depression, chronic pain, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and major life transitions. No matter what brings you to therapy, my goal is to provide a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals across the lifespan in a wide range of settings, including community mental health clinics, academic medical hospitals, forensic hospitals, the VA, college counseling centers, and a culturally informed mental health and substance use treatment program on an American Indian Reservation. These experiences have shaped a flexible, person-centered approach grounded in cultural humility and respect.
In addition to providing generalist mental health care, I have specialized training in working with chronic pain, sleep difficulties, and individuals managing co-occurring medical conditions. My background in health psychology allows me to integrate psychological and physical health concerns in a way that supports whole-person well-being.
I completed my APA-accredited internship at the New Mexico VA Health Care System and the University of New Mexico Hospital, followed by a yearlong postdoctoral fellowship in health psychology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. I earned my master’s degree in counseling from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2015 and my Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee in 2023. In addition to my clinical work, I periodically serve in roles as a clinical supervisor and adjunct professor for doctoral psychology students in the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee Counseling Psychology Doctoral Program. I am also a proud member of the National Register of Health Service Psychologists.
I believe therapy works best as a collaborative, supportive process tailored to your unique goals and needs. Whether you’re navigating a difficult life transition, coping with ongoing stress or health challenges, or simply looking to improve your overall well-being, I’m here to help.
